Urban Legend Comes to Life
Well, I’ve just read something I had only heard about in bar stories and Internet chain letters. Perhaps you’ve heard the story about the thief that gets caught in a ventilation shaft and dies, only to be found weeks later?
Well, in my old home town of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, this has come true. On April 2, 2008 (not April 1st) a man’s decomposing body was found in a ventilation shaft of a Winnipeg bar. Here’s the story in the local newspaper, The Winnipeg Sun.
